The Thrilling Epics of The Lord of the Rings
The Lord of the Rings is a magical experience to watch. This movie can be an adventure for the whole family. It has all the elements that a movie should have: suspense, thrillers, excitement, sadness, and last but not least the special effects were absolutely extraordinary. This is what made The Lord of the Rings a box office hit when it was produced in 2001. The producer Peter Jackson took the novel and turned it into an imaginative movie. Even though the series are almost three hours long, the story line and the special effects makes you want to watch it to see what happens. Each has its own special element that made it even a bigger hit than the previous one. The Lord of the Rings comes in three sagas: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
Thefirst saga was The Fellowship of the Ring. It is set in a mythic Middle Earth. A young hobbit by the name of Frodo Baggins, inherits a magical ring from his elderly cousin, Bilbo. The opposition in this movie is the dark Lord Sauron. He lusts for the powers that the magical ring holds. The magical ring has the power to enable Lord Sauron to enslave the people of the land. In his efforts to frustrate Sauron, Frodo recruits the fellowship of a wizard, an elf, a dwarf and others on a mission to destroy the ring by casting it into the volcanic fires of Mount Doom. However, as a result of the struggle between Sauron and the fellowship, the magical ring unleashes its own power.
First and foremost, I should talk about what really made this movie a hit. Jackson did a fantastic job in the creation of this movie. From the casts to the special effects everything was just perfect. Frodo was played by Elijah Wood, Bilbo Baggins was Ian Holm, wizard Gandalf was Ian McKellan, and Sam Gamgee was Sean Astin. Those actors depicted each character with praiseworthy skills. Wood is perfect as Frodo, the vulnerable, sligh
