This Hitchcock movie was actually one of only three that I have seen in my lifetime, but the more I see of his films, the more I want to see.His attention to specific details and background information that help to explain hidden details and the many symbolistic meanings of the movie is incredible and is un-matched by anyone else.I really enjoyed watching this 1948 classic about two strangers "chance" meeting on a train.
This movie about a psychotic mother’s boy Bruno Anthony who has this ;chance; meeting of the famous tennis professional Guy Haines on a train. Guy, who wants to move into a career in politics and has been dating a senator’s daughter is awaiting a divorce from his wife. Meanwhile Bruno wants to kill his father, but knows he will be caught because he has a motive. Bruno dreams up a crazy scheme whereby he and Guy exchange murders.
