My Presentation Of Macbeth Act 3 Scene 4 Essay, Research Paper
10Hn This essay will show my interpretation of Act 3
Scene 4 from Macbeth. This scene is a turning point in the play because we see
the first glimpse of Macbeth?s guilty conscience, which becomes the cause of
his downfall. In my performance of Act 3 Scene 4, I will present an emotional
and psychological interpretation of Macbeth, to show that it is a play about
temptation ? how Macbeth is tempted to kill King Duncan to become King himself.
It also shows how Macbeth cracks under pressure, and how his conscience
troubles him by appearing in the form of Banquo?s ghost. Banquo was one of the
men that he ordered to be murdered in order for him to rise to power and become
King.I am going to go for a symbolic approach; the
ghost is a representative of Macbeth?s conscience, only Macbeth is able to feel
his guilt, and so he is the only person who can see the ghost.
