"Black Boy" Chapter 3-6
After school had been let out, Richard and the other ways would go to a one-way street and conversed. The boys ranged with age, and attitudes. Some were jokers, and others took the role of practical society people. Richard would participate, and so would others. Richard I felt was the type that understood more, and knew what he was talking about.
Most of these conversations were about the interactions with "whites". Many of the things said, were just something regurgitated from their conversations from their parents. After every sentence, Richard would summarize what information was being passed. Also, after each contradictory statement, there would be a pause for the next speak to express their knowledge.
Richards would suffer from a stroke, and then would go to Jackson to there grandparents. The entire family came from the United States to see his mother.
Richards's mothers' had been getting worse, so the two children had become a big burden for the Grandparents. The family decided that Richards' brother to Detroit with his aunt Maggie. After some time, Richard decides it was not in his best interest to stay with his Aunt and Uncle, so he was sent back to his mother in Jackson.
In the beginning of this chapter, the books states where and what does the family practice religion. Richard is made because he is not allowed to eat pork. Also, Richard easily had become a disbeliever. Aunt Addie and Richard have disputed over many little things. Richard goes as far as to pulling a knife on her.
