Tactics never got to proud or full of himself, He never bragged about his job or money. He wanted them to love him regardless of his talents. In that process, he taught them to be humble as well. He just lets life’s problems flow over him like a rock in a stream. Tactics never resorts to violence, and tries to pass that onto his children, especially Scout. Tactics once said, “Before can live with other folks, I’ve got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn’t’ abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience. ” (140). Probably one of the best loyalties Tactics possesses is his moral sense of right and wrong along with his conscience. Whenever something goes wrong, he will always make it right. Tactics makes sound decisions and will always do the right thing even if it the unpopular thing, For example, he took Tom Robinsons case even though he knew he would lose and that people would talk about him. Taut even knowing this, he still took the case because it was the right thing to do. If he hadn’t, he probably would not have been able to live with his guilty conscience.
