1. Summarize a situation that required U.S. diplomatic efforts during the president's
2. Explicate the diplomatic doctrine the president followed, with reference to specific
actions or events that occurred.
3. Describe the effects of these diplomatic efforts for the U.S. and other countries.
4. Assess, in conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of the particular doctrine
U.S. Diplomatic Efforts During the President's Time in Office
First, let’s define the terms, “The Cold War” and “U.S. Diplomatic”. The Cold War name was birth to the USSR and the United States after the Second World War. It was a decades-long struggle for global supremacy, the capitalist was United States against the communist Soviet Union starting around 1945. The warbrought on primary by the US, consisted of political conflict, economic and technological competition between the communist world and western powers. Because of no physical fighting involved it was called, “The Cold War”. Both nations involved expressed conflict through coalitions, aid, espionage, proxy wars, propaganda and nuclear technology arms races (Cold War, 2013). The term ;U.S. Diplomacy; according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, refers to a country;s ability to conduct negotiations between nations, skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility (, 2013).
I chose to write about Dwight D.
