During World War II Oskar Schindler, a Nazi industrialist, became a wealthy, successful factory owner, yet he chose to risk his life and sacrifice his fortune to save the Jews in his factory.Schindler had come to Poland with a main purpose, that purpose being to make money and become very wealthy.To achieve this, he had a Jew by the name of Stern to sign over his company, Jews to work in his factory, and Stern run the business, allowing him to profit greatly since the Jews were not paid.He had succeeded in doing this, making a large sum of money to live a very wealthy life.
Schindler, a very rich person now, decided he would become friends with the Nazis, and accomplished this very easily with his hospitality, partying personality, and good social skills.He was established among the Nazis as a great friend, which Schindler had hope would result.They would invite him to parties , and he would always be the center of the entertainment, and made sure the Nazis always had a good time.But even though Schindler was enjoying the good life, there was a turning point at which Schindler had realized the treatment of the Jews was very unfair, and that these friends that he created were extreme unkindly savage beasts.
A little girl in a red coat, he remembered seeing her walking by herself in the ghetto before being sent to a concentration camp when they came for the round-ups.As he visited a concentration camp, he saw the little girl in a wheel-barrow dead being carried off somewhere, and this was when he realized the cruelty the Jewish people felt.The selfish, money thirsty, uncaring Schindler who’s sole purpose was to profit off the Jews, had now began to feel compasion for them, and took many risks to help them as much as he could.Schindler paid to have Jews sprayed with water on a hot day, and wanted the Nazis to percieve it as a joke, when he was really helping them out by cooling them off.He made ot…
