FDR

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president number 32. He did four terms but died before the fourth term started. He was president from 1882-1945. His political party is the Democratic Party. His Vice-Presidents were John Nance Garner, Henry Agard Wallace, and Harry Truman.
A long time ago, in 1882, a baby was born, known to you and me as Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR). His mother called him Franklin, but his father called him son. As he grew up, he was destined for the white house. He was the only son of Sara and James Roosevelt, collecting stamps and birds, were his favorite games to do. He went to Groton, and then to Harvard. He got degrees in Law and History by the time he was done with schooling. On March 17, 1905, Franklin took Anna Eleanor Roosevelt his sixth cousin to be his bride which she later she would become thefirst lady, when he takes office as president. Before he got to president, he ran for State Senate, from the Dutchess County sticks. A Democrat from these parts of the state was rare to see, but FDR made it to Albany. Then he backed Wilson, at a National Convention. It was a decision that proved, to make a connection with him. Wilson soon was President, and with that came thanks. He appointed FDR, as the assistant Secretary of the Navy. She was telling everybody, that Franklin would be back, and he would not be stopped by a polio attack. It proved success when they elected him the Governor, of New York State from 1929-1933. They elected Franklin President, from Prohibition they were parched, but he did not take, the reins of power, until early March. He did not waste a moment, to bring us from malaise. He passed a slate of legislation, in just one-hundred days. Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin too, were the Allied leaders, who won, W.W.II.
